It is our belief that every family deserves to live in a world free from violence. Our goal is to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault by:
- Offering emergency shelter, crisis intervention, counseling and support services to women and children who are survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. No appointment necessary for immediate face-to-face crisis intervention and advocacy services. Call the crisis hotline at 903-893-5615 for more information;
- Facilitating public education about the devastating consequences of domestic violence and sexual assault as well as resources available from the Crisis Center;
- Providing batterer intervention services;
- Providing anger management classes;
- Facilitating primary prevention programs to children in local schools, clubs,churches, etc.;
- Offering non-residential services to survivors living in our community including support groups, safety planning, crisis intervention, information and appropriate referrals;
- Staffing that allows 24/7 walk-in survivors to receive advocacy and crisis intervention and additionally staffs a 24/7 emergency hotline that is always answered directly byan advocate; and
- Offering survivors support by providing 24/7 Hospital Accompaniment for Sexual Assault Exams, and scheduled accompaniment for medical, legal and law enforcement appointments.
We offer services to ALL who are survivors of domestic violence, dating violence,survivors of stranger and non-stranger sexual assault.Our services are provided in a variety of languages through the AT&T Language Line andhave TTY phone service on our hotline available to assist the deaf/hard of hearing.
