Position: Volunteer Coordinator/ Administrative Assistant
Status: Non-Exempt – Full-Time
Responsible to: Program Coordinator
Purpose: To oversee structured volunteer recruitment, orientation, training and retention, with concentration on Sexual Assault Training Program (SATP). To assist wtih administrative duties while furthering our mission and projecting a positive image of the Crisis Center to all.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain SATP (Sexual Assault Training Program) *SAPCS-STATE- during task serve non-residential clients
- Maintain and coordinate all Crisis Center volunteer services in collaboration with Program Coordinator *SAPCS-STATE- during task serve non-residential clients
- Develop a volunteer outreach plan to reach potential volunteers in innovative ways
- Coordinate on-going volunteer recruitment/orientation/appreciation/retention strategies
- Act as liaison between volunteers and Crisis Center staff to solicit feedback re: program needs and volunteer potential
- Develop and maintain volunteer opportunities and relevant job descriptions *SAPCS-STATE- during task serve non-residential clients
- Originate and maintain volunteer personnel information files to include training records and accreditation requirements in collaboration with Program Coordinator *SAPCS-STATE- during task serve non-residential clients
- Help develop Community Outreach informational pieces that may include: Constant Contact, newsletter, brochures, website, social media etc. *SAPCS-STATE- during task serve non-residential clients
- Assist and attend community education or professional groups as needed*SAPCS-STATE- during task serve non-residential clients
- Work to accurately track and maintain staff training by developing system and communication with staff members
- Maintenance of personnel files inclusive of training and performance evaluations
- Oversees the procedures for accurate employee time/activity tracking and reviews all employee timesheets for compliance
- Accurately completing processes related to employee onboarding and benefits
- Oversee employee benefits including PTO, insurance, Simple IRA, United Way etc.
- Administer guidance with supervisors of departments for any required documentation, worker’s compensation issues and claims including return to work documentation
- Facilitate required I9 and new employment reporting
- Coordinate and execute all areas for annual benefit meeting for staff
- Establish and maintain good rapport in working relationships with all staff and community
- Answering phones, doors and gates as employee’s location will provide initial contact to visitors, clients and community
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Board of Directors information and attend Board meetings monthly to take accurate minutes
- Maintain and manage inventory/ordering for office supplies/equipment
- Coordinate with department supervisors to facilitate annual agency-wide performance evaluations
- Perform related duties as assigned by Program Coordinator and Executive Director as needed

- Always employ strategies of problem solving and smart, efficient solutions identifying new and improved ways of delivering the highest quality services to agency clients.

- Maintain client and agency confidentiality and client privilege at all times.
- Maintain knowledge of current family violence and sexual assault laws. Qualifications: Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Skilled in organization and able to work well with others in a supportive and cooperative manner.
Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent past job skills/experience.
