This entirely virtual version of In Her Shoes from the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence is an engaging way to talk about domestic violence, healthy relationships, and to increase awareness of the additional struggles survivors face. The perspective of the person causing harm is also represented, creating a unique opportunity to see violence from both sides.
As a participant, you will become one of seven characters based on the real experiences of survivors and victims of domestic violence. You will make choices about their relationships and move through the scenario by reading about interactions with their partner, family, advocates, social services, healthcare workers, and others. This experience will allow you to have a deeper understanding of victims of domestic violence and the challenges they face, and we hope it will allow you a deeper guidance to your own work in the community.
We have three dates and times available for you to join us. Please RSVP your attendance by clicking on the date to register for the meeting.
